Hello! Do you like the Derby? My animals and I sometimes have our own pretend Derby and race around the condo. We don't have a blanket of roses for the winner or a triple crown but we sure do have a lot of fun. We have our own delicious kitty form of mint juleps with no alcohol of course. What do you do on Derby Day??

Just stopping in to say hi. As I am sitting here typing it is storming like crazy outside, thundering, lightning, and hail is coming down as well. Not much is going on this week, I am taking it easy on my Spring Break from work. I do have a little amewsing story to tell you about two of my fur gang. The other morning I saw Raisin laying on my bed and she was growling but no one was near her. I didn't know why she was growling. Then I spot a lump in the bedspread. I immediately knew who the little monster was under that bedspread. It was Linus! He loves to get under anything. Everytime he would move Raisin would growl at him! Too funny!

Let me introduce my furriends
I have 18 cats, one dog and a bunny. Most of of my furriends are rescues of some kind and many have special needs. Three of my cats don't live with me. Willow, the cat is the fish bed above lives with my ex husband because of allergies to my new place when I got divorced. The other two cats, Ivy and Scooter are rescues and are FIV+. Ivy is also diabetic, so I have to give him insulin twice a day. Ivy was feral when I trapped him near where I live. I had been feeding him for awhile but he was just too scared to let me come any closer than 3 feet. He turned out to be one of my most affectionate babies. I wish they lived with me but I am too scared that they would catch something from my other babies at home and since their immune system is non existant then a simple cold could kill them. I know some people have FIV+ cats with their others and they do fine but I never would forgive myself if something happened to them. I guess if for some reason they couldn't live at my friend's anymore and I had no where else to keep them then I would bring them home with me. At home with me I have my 15 other cats. They range in age from 5 months to almost 15 years old. My dog, Gracie is a black lab mix and was a rescue of mine also. One dark stormy night she ran right in front of my car and I almost hit her. I got out and she laid right in the middle of the road in a submissive postion and wouldn't get up so I had to pick her up and carry her to my car. I tried to find her owner but no one ever called about her. Gracie is about 5 years old now and still acts like a puppy. My bunny's name is Beasley and he is a mini lop. He is what they call frosted in color. He is so cute. I will have to post pictures of all of them later on so you all can see them. Please feel free to tell me about yourself and if you have animals about them.

A beautiful day for kitties and doggies
What a beautiful day we had today in Louisville! Wow! It was just gorgeous out there and tomorrow promises to be another one. Even so, the cats took lots of refreshing cat naps and Gracie and Beasely slept off and on throughout the day. I even joined them a coupla times.
I've been thinking of getting one of those cat strollers...what do you think? Anyone have any experience with those? They look cute, but do cats really like to be strolled around?

Welcome to Catnappurrs!
I'm so glad you decided to visit my blog! I hope you'll drop by often and read about all of my pets and how I came to acquire them. Most of them are rescue pets and I have 17 cats, 1 dog, Gracie and 1 bunny, Beasley! They all get along pretty well except for two kitties that have FIV. I have to keep them separate from the others.
I hope you'll stop by often and respond to my posts if you have questions or comments. The cat in the picture is my kitty willow in one of the cat beds that my mother and I make. They are for sale if you're interested!
